Public Schools are letting our kids down! Yes, I have said this before, and I'm sure there are people out there who don't agree with me. That's good for you. Public schools become a breeding ground for hate and bullying. Teachers are not paid according to classroom size, and what they put up with. Quite frankly, I think a lot of the teachers out there just don't give a damn about the kids anymore.

Well, I recently found out that my 3 year old daughter, needs to go to preschool before she can go to kindergarten?!? I thought kindergarten was the starting place for kids. She is supposed to know her alphabet, her numbers, colors and shapes. Now, I don't mind her learning early, but my question is this:

When did public schools change so dramatically that kids need to know everything that they're supposed to learn, before school?
What are teachers doing? Why are we teaching to test, not teaching to learn?

Intelligence in children is measured by how they test. Now, I don't know about you, but I suck at tests. So to me, it is unfair to judge me under pressure. Not just the fact intelligence being measured by tests, teachers "fail" children for doing less than adequate work. Sadly, it could be that the teacher is just not getting through to the student.

Kids are learning not to care about school. That right there is where we need to stop and say "WAIT".
When I took my college classes for preschool educational teacher, the main goal was to reach everyone. Not everyone learns in the same fashion. School is required, but why at age 5 are we getting kids ready for the workforce?

Teachers are NOT accommodating all learning styles! This is an injustice to OUR children. Now, we cannot blame the teachers alone. This is a nationwide dilemma that NO ONE IS ADDRESSING!

Doctors complain of weight and body issues, but don't you think that schools are encouraging kids to sit on their butts all day long, listening to long lectures and testing? Get them up, get them moving, not just in gym class! This sitting down stuff, doesn't stop when they leave, no, they are then forced to do incredible amounts of homework at home.

Isn't it enough that schools keep our kids from us 8 hours a day for more than 12 years? Can't we have them at home?

Parents cannot connect to children that they do not have!

Currently, I'm deciding what I want to rant about today. I have several things I want to rant about, but I need to organize myself so that they are not all one big rant that jumbles together and comes out "Blah Blah Blah"

I have my notebook here, and honestly, I'm drawing a complete blank. Making the decision to rant about ONE THING... It's mind blowing!

Sometimes I decide that Ranting, just isn't worth it. Other times I decide to rant just so I can get thoughts out of my head.

Writing does that for me. Thoughts go into words, on paper, and then magically, well almost magically, they disappear out of my pea brain. Depending on the subject matter, they stay gone. Then the funny part is, trying to remember what I was thinking.

Perhaps I will decide to rant about public schools. They piss me off and it's a great way to get that frustration out.
Ok, Stay tuned, the public school, pissed off rant, is coming soon.
Ah, it feels so good to be published and typing again, I've been away a while.

It's so funny, out of nowhere say something extraordinary like Cheesy Pickles, or Toilet Paper.
If you really know the person, you can say something like a dirty joke, or if you're not into dirty jokes, just make someone laugh.
It's really fun. My 3 year old is easy to make laugh... Well, I should rephrase that, she's a PROFESSIONAL at making me laugh.

Like tonight, she was getting ready to go to bed. I hear through the monitor,
Mommy, I'm just warning you, If I don't get up and go pee right now, I am going to pee in my pants. I just don't want you to be mad.
How to respond to that?!? Well, I took her to use the "potty" and of course, she didn't have to go, this is quite common here and her way of stalling.

We were in the store the other day.
Mommy, I want to look at toys. Before you say no, hear me out. I like toys, and I'm not asking for anything, but I really wanna look very bad.

There are other times, like when she knows I'm "Mad" at her that she'll make fun of me and make me laugh. There are times that she just makes me laugh for the fun of it. I enjoy making others laugh, I guess I'm not surprised that she enjoys that as well.
OH, breaking the ice in any new relationship is always the hardest.
It's always hardest to know what to say to someone you don't know. Well, I have taken this to a new level. Mostly online, but when I meet new people, I randomly interject words like banana, apple, poop or stink butt.

Sadly, my husband came up with the phrase "Stink Butt". We enjoy random name calling, usually not meant to hurt either party, but to get a good rise out of the listener.
Stink butt was experimented with today among the online evony.com community.

The results of this were actually typical of most. "Oh... kay... Moving on" As I sigh at the inability to take a joke, or even perhaps admit that someone saying "Stink butt" out of no where, with no instigation, is in fact, if nothing else, Slightly amusing.

Now, I'm not going to say this is hysterical, or something you should run out to your future pal want to Be's and say, but online, the reactions are usually different. I will continue this experiment further.

I did hear a funny statement not too long ago that is as follows:
A pick up line from one teenager to another. "Are you wearing Pokemon underwear, cause I want to peek at you" (If you don't know Pokemon, Pikachu is the little electric Pokemon that is the "star" of the show)

Another one, this one caught me off guard and left me wondering who the poor sap would marry with a line like this:
"Were your parents retarded 'cause you sure are special"
I am speechless as to what to say on that one... If it were used on me, I would probably kick the guy in the nuts in hopes that he would never breed again.
